American Fantasy Classics

Greetings Garrulous Gamers and Art Adventurers! BasketShop Gallery is hosting their second exhibition with a project by the artist collective American Fantasy Classics. American Fantasy Classics is a collaborative artist group established in 2011, whose core membership consists of founders Oliver Sweet and Alec Regan. In six years, they have collaborated with dozens of artists in and outside of traditional gallery situations to achieve a wide range of objectives. Their primary goal is to encourage ambitious experimentation by initiating collaborations with artists, pooling resources and creating an ad hoc studio team for each project that blurs the boundary between artist, organizer, curator, collaborator and fabricator. For their show at BasketShop, they have recruited table-top game designer Jim Wampler from Cincinnati to introduce his Role Playing Game Dungeon Crawl Classics. Participants are invited to play on a stone table sculpted by Alec Regan within the gallery. This exhibition will be open until Saturday, November 11th, with a closing reception on the same evening. Open hours until the closing will be between 1:00pm-6:00pm Tuesday through Sunday for any groups that would like to play a table-top gaming campaign.
